I'm writing an article about backroads to get from the Philadelphia area to the South Jersey Shore. I know you have them. I do.
The trick is I need people who are willing to share them in print.

I find that people either want to brag about their best backroutes, or they pledge to take their route with them to the grave. Then you have people like me - I know where to go but would need a map to say exactly where the path lies.

There's a Route 666 that gives me the creeps every time I drive it! Cuts from lower Buena Vista area through Dorothy and down to the Head of the River Church area at Route 49 on the way to the Ocean City/Sea Isle area. I swear I'm going to see the Jersey Devil on that road!!!

Back in the day before the AC Expressway and even the Parkway, the roads through Pine Barrens were darn scary. I recall only a few houses around then, including one bright pink one. Don't recall the road, but it was probably Route 9.
